In this work Moira Sperolini wants to thematize the conflictual relationship of different inner drives. The represented bodies release the structure of the table: the viewer's attention is forcedly drawn from the center towards its edges.
A broken flight of rounded shapes towards the four corners produces a sense of estrangement and precarious dynamism.
The core of the image remains empty in the act of unleashing a beam of lightning, which crosses the center and sides like a set of electrical discharges.
The eye flutters from one point to another in the composition, in an attempt to firmly grasp a composite and confined whole, but without success.
A tense and constricting relationship is thus represented between different emotional states; just as the elements of the work seem to protrude from the edges in a sort of escape, so the individual tries to give an order to his impulses, not always succeeding.
